ENVIRONMENT 1ST SAFETY PROGRAM

Safety Comes First at Your Site & Ours

TCI of Alabama’s Safety 1st Program is a comprehensive, company-wide employee education program. It was developed to ensure that all our employees achieve the highest level of excellence in plant operations and environmental safety training, and to ensure that your equipment is being disposed of in strict accordance with all federal, state and local regulations.

Like all members of the G&S family of companies, our business model is built around removing hazardous materials from our environment, and recycling rather than landfilling cleaned and decontaminated electrical equipment. We strive in every aspect of our operations to minimize our impact on the environment and our surrounding community, and to provide our employees with a safe workplace.

Our operations are regulated and monitored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) and the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT or DOT), and we are proud of our record of compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Our facilities and trucks are equipped with secondary containment systems to guard against the accidental spill or leak of hazardous materials during handling, transport and cleaning, and each vehicle is fully outfitted with all DOT-required emergency response equipment.
