Disposal and Recycling of PCB Contaminated Items

TCI is permitted by the EPA to accept all PCB contaminated items no matter what the regulatory category.  We have multiple state of the art processes for cleaning the materials based on the PCB content.  All items are sampled following cleaning, and analyzed in our laboratory.  Once the material has been proven to be PCB free, the items are then able to be recycled and given a second life as new products.

Laboratory Services

TCI has an in house laboratory that not only offers our facility the convenience of quick turn around to determine PCB content of the material we receive, but also offers our customers this same service.

Laboratory analysis is performed based on established EPA methods using Gas Chromatography.  We test samples for PCBs in all of the following matrices:

  • Waste Oils / Transformer Oil

  • Solids

  • Sludge

  • Surface Wipes

  • Waste Water

Following analysis, TCI certifies all results and delivers reports to the customer including a Certified Analysis Report and signed copies of the Chain of Custody.
